How to do 2-digit addition with carrying
Add the ones first. If they make 10 or more, write the ones digit and carry 1 ten to the tens column, then add the tens.
Short, regular practice works best: one sheet of 10–15 minutes a few times a week is better than a long session once a week. Check answers together and talk about any mistakes.
