How to do 1-digit addition
Add two numbers from 0 to 9. Kids can count on from the bigger number, or use a number line, until the facts become automatic.
Short, regular practice works best: one sheet of 10–15 minutes a few times a week is better than a long session once a week. Check answers together and talk about any mistakes.
